Powder brows
Using a cosmetic tattoo machine, ultra fine needles gently implant pigment into the skin, giving it a powdered appearance much like that of makeup.
Powder Brows is an ideal treatment if you are fair & looking for a soft, natural effect on your brows, & is especially good if you have oily or mature skin.
Do powder brows hurt?
As with all tattooing there will always be some level of discomfort, which is somewhat dependent on the individual’s own pain threshold.
However there are topical Anaesthetics that can be used that make the discomfort very minimal, & is usually described as feeing like vibrations or an electric toothbrush being held against the skin.
How long do powder brows take?
You will need to set aside at least 2 hours to include anesthesia setting, eyebrow shaping/template to be drawn & the procedure itself.
A top-up will be necessary around 6 weeks later to make adjustments & fill any gaps that may have appeared during the healing process.
What if I don’t like the result?
It is important to remember the initial colour will look very dark, but that it will fade between 50-70% during the healing process. At your 6 week top up, some adjustments can be made to the shape & colour of the brows to perfect them further.
If however you still don’t like them after they’re fully healed, you can have laser tattoo removal, but it usually costs more than the original treatment.
Ultimately this is a tattoo procedure & the decision to have it done should not be made lightly!
