Microblading
Sometimes referred to as “Eyebrow Embroidery”, Microblading uses ultra-fine needles & a lot of skill. The results are incredibly subtle, realistic-looking hair strokes, & people may find it hard believe you’ve had anything done!
If there are no longer any hairs there, don’t worry! It is still possible to create beautiful eyebrows with the microblading technique using your face shape & features as a guide for the shape, & your natural hair & skin tones for the colour.
It’s no wonder Microblading is now a new trend word for people of all ages!
What is the difference between microblading & powder/ombré brows?
The main difference between microblading & all the other techniques is the hand tool used. Microblading is a non-electrical hand tool, meaning all the work & skill is down to the technician. This tool is designed for one thing only; creating lines to mimic hairstrokes.
Powder & ombré brows on the other hand are done using a micropigmentation tattoo pen, which contains cartridges with needles inside. Once switched on, the needles pump up & down very fast like a sewing machine, creating lots of tiny dots of pigment in the skin. The closer together the dots, the darker the colour, so adjusting the speed you move can create a lighter, more powdery effect or a darker, more blocked effect.
Is it possible to have both powdered & microbladed brows?
Yes. This is known as Powder Brows with Hairstrokes, & is becoming increasingly popular. If you love how realistic the microbladed brow strokes look, but want a little more colour/shading to your brows, this combo is the perfect treatment for you!
