Permanent eyeliner
Do you love how your eyes look when you’ve managed to draw on the perfect liquid line above your lashes? Maybe you find it a bit tricky to make both sides look the same, or you accidentally rub your eye and smudge some of it?
It will give you that fabulous, wide-eyed, full lash effect from the moment you wake up to the moment you go to sleep, not to mention the time it will save you on your makeup regimen!
Will it replace the need for liquid eyeliner?
It depends on the style you generally choose when applying your liquid eyeliner. Permanent makeup always appears much softer and a little lighter than makeup that has been drawn on the skin, so for a typical “day makeup” look, it is ideal!
If, however, you tend to like extra wide, jet black eyeliner with wings or flicks, you will still need to add these with your traditional liquid eyeliner once your permanent eyeliner has healed.
Can I have winged permanent eyeliner?
Many therapists seem happy to offer flicks or winged effects during their permanent eyeliner treatments, however I do not offer those additions.
The reason for this is that the skin gets thinner towards the inner and outer canthus (corners) of the eye, and the thinner the skin, the higher the chance of the pigment migrating.
I have seen some horrendous photographs of women, as well as my own mother, having had eyeliner that migrated across or down because it was done too close to one or both of the corners.
It can completely ruin the look of the eyes, and although it is possible to get this removed by laser therapy, it is painful and very costly!
Is it dangerous, being so close to the eye?
The treatment is very safe & is done with the eyes closed the whole time, being held closed & stretched slightly by the therapist to keep the skin nice & tight.
The needles used are so shallow there is no risk of it piercing through the skin or effecting the eye in any way. There is also a bottle of saline solution always to hand ready to flush the eyes out if the eyes get any pigment in them.
